Health and Safety Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Officer to oversee the implementation and maintenance of health and safety protocols across our manufacturing client. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to workplace safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to conduct thorough inspections and risk assessments. As a vital member of our team, you will ensure compliance with relevant regulations, promote a safety-conscious culture, and respond effectively to incidents to safeguard the well-being of all employees and visitors.
Responsibilities
·Updating company risk and the training records
·Monitoring staff to make sure the correct PPE is being worn at all times
·Inductions for new staffs
·Weekly health and safety audits
·Weekly fire and sprinkler testing
·Ordering wash room commodities
·Arranging yearly pat testing, fire extinguisher service
·Arranging health and safety monthly meetings with company supervisors
·Monitoring the factory
Skills
·NEBOSH qualified
·Proficiency in first aid procedures with the ability to provide immediate assistance during emergencies.
·Strong report writing skills to document inspections, incidents, and safety procedures clearly and professionally.
·Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining safety records and documentation.
·Effective communication skills for engaging with staff at all levels and delivering safety training effectively.
·Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation applicable within the organization’s jurisdiction.
·Ability to assess risks accurately and develop practical solutions to mitigate hazards efficiently.
