Job Description:
- Comply and engage with all safety requirements from customer and Finning
- Trouble shooting equipment and perform repairs independently
- Provide detailed daily service reports
- Interface with customers, products and sales support
- Working with the supervisor on various tasks and duties as needed
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Perform component intervention diagnosis and repairs
- Perform undercarriage repairs
Qualifications:
- Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Heavy Duty Technician in a mining environment
- Dedication to safety at all times
- Ability to conduct and perform duties and leverage resources independently
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and perform internal engine repairs
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
- Deep Understanding of the Caterpillar product line
- Ability to effectively navigate SIS 2.0 without assistance
- Ability to leverage and prove competency in searching DPSS to assist with troubleshooting and find information
- Ability to independently submit DSN in event troubleshooting requires additional support or has been deemed a requirement
- Mining equipment repair experience considered an asset
- D10 / D11 / 797B(F) / 793 / 24M product knowledge considered an asset
- Completed Finning S Level courses an asset
- Team player
- Exposure to DSS (Driver Safety System) and ability to troubleshoot system is considered an asset
Note:
- This position will work a 14x14 shift, rotating days and nights, and will provide support to our Syncrude Aurora Mine Site Shop.
- Will be required to provide own tooling and will receive a yearly tool allowance
- A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug, Alcohol and fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
