HGV Drainage Engineer

We are currently recruiting for HGV Drainage Engineers to join the team.

This is a full-time, permanent role, 48 hour contract. The shift pattern will be:
Week 1 Monday – Thursday working, Friday – Monday off
Week 2 Tuesday – Friday working, Saturday – Tuesday off

The main purpose of this HGV Drainage Engineer role is to operate the HGV’s visiting various client sites within and around the area, conducting pre-planned maintenance and emergency response works.

Reporting to the Operations Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Operating an HGV tanker to carry out pre-planned maintenance works
• Maintaining the vehicle and equipment to the best condition
• Vacuum tanker operations and wastewater management
• Adhering to all health and safety policies at all times, following safety protocols for HGV drainage tanker operation
• Working with an assistant, ensuring all information is fed back correctly to the office
• Supporting the CCTV & Drainage teams supporting and facilitating Surveys, inspections and detailed investigation works

The ideal candidate has experience in:

• At least a years’ experience in the drainage industry
• Class 2 license minimum
• Problem solving and attention to detail is a must
• Candidate must be flexible a role will include frequent staying away and night work (Once or twice per month – one week at a time)
• Experience working on commercials sites
• Good communication skills
