PPT Driver

​MAK Jobs is recruiting PPT drivers for a bread and cake distribution centre in Crick. You will join an established warehouse team picking, moving and despatching bakery products for customer orders.

This is an ongoing temporary role with a clear route to permanent work for people who are accurate, reliable and consistent. The site recognises strong performance and wants people who can stay.

Location:Crick (NN6)

Day shift

Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off / 06:00 – 18:00

Pay: £13.88 – £18.46 per hour

Night shift

Pattern: 4 nights on, 4 nights off / 18:00 – 06:00

Pay: £15.27 – £19.85 per hour

What you will do

• Drive a PPT (powered pallet truck) and/or pump truck to pick, move and stage stock —

  no licence required

• Pick customer orders accurately using a handheld scanner

• Load, move and put away bakery products around the warehouse

• Label products and prepare shipments for despatch

• Support inbound / goods-in: check deliveries and put stock into the correct locations

• Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe

• Follow site health and safety rules and report hazards straight away

• Any other general warehouse duties

What we need from you

• Previous warehouse and PPT experience (licence not needed)

• Confident, safe use of a PPT

• Strong attention to detail — wrong picks cost time and customers

• Ability to work at pace on a 12-hour shift and still stay accurate

• Clear communication and a team-first attitude

• Reliable timekeeping and a positive approach to 4-on-4-off shift work

• A serious approach to health and safety
