Position Overview

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our inpatient team at Rumford Hospital and Bridgton Hospital. This position will be a mix of admitting and rounding. 

 

Preferred Experience

  • Clinical rotations in internal medicine, hospital medicine, or acute care
  • Exposure to admissions workflow and inpatient care coordination

  • Daytime schedule only – no overnight responsibilities

About Us

Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive history and physicals for new admissions
  • Perform detailed clinical assessments and develop care plans
  • Collaborate closely with attending physicians and hospitalists
  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
  • Document all encounters accurately in the EMR
  • Coordinate care with nursing, case management, and ancillary services
  • Assist with care transitions and discharge planning as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Previous experience as an NP or PA
  • Active or eligible for Maine licensure
  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $133,000 to $144,314. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
