What you'll do
- Plan, organize, and supervise all housekeeping operations across accommodation, common areas, offices, ablution blocks, and other camp facilities.
- Ensure all cleaning activities are performed in accordance with approved cleaning schedules, SOW, KPIs, and quality standards.
- Manage and supervise housekeeping supervisors and attendants, including duty rosters, attendance, performance monitoring, and disciplinary actions when required.
- Develop, implement, and maintain housekeeping procedures, work instructions, and cleaning checklists.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and control of cleaning chemicals, consumables, linen, and equipment in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with logistics, maintenance, and accommodation teams to address cleanliness issues, room turnovers, and special cleaning requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of housekeeping areas, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Prepare housekeeping reports, including manpower deployment, stock usage, inspection results, and incident reports.
- Train housekeeping personnel on cleaning techniques, hygiene standards, customer service, and health & safety procedures.
- Support mobilization and demobilization activities related to housekeeping services as required by the project.
- Report health & safety, environmental, and food safety hazards and near miss/incident observed in the workplace to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. To follow, apply and maintain all applicable ISO standards and requirements.

- 5 years’ experience in housekeeping operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong understanding of housekeeping equipment, chemical handling systems, and inventory tracking.
- Knowledge of housekeeping standards and cleaning methodologies.
- Understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and infection control practices.
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety (ISO 45001) and Environmental (ISO 14001) requirements.
- Fluent in English and French
- Experience working in camp-based, remote, or challenging environments.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, optimizing resources, and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for camp residents.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

SYSTEMS/ EQUIPMENT OPERATION KNOWLEDGE:
