What you'll do
- Performs a variety of staff support and clerical tasks in establishing, monitoring and maintaining wait lists for the housing assistance program
- Conducts rent surveys to determine appropriate contract rents in specified areas
- May assist applicants and verifies information presented
- Reviews applications and supporting documents to ensure conformance with federal, state, and county rules and regulations, policies and procedures and other legal requirements
- Assists with section 8 contract renewal process
- Schedules and may assist with closing of landlord and tenant agreements
- Maintains records of eligibility data, vouchers, invoices, purchase orders and other source documents
- Assist with monitoring contract expenditure
- May participate in fair hearings
- Coordinates and secures locations for briefings
- Assists in preparing reports and may type correspondence and other materials
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Training and Experience:
A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school; and
Level II:
one (1) year of clerical experience that involves public contact; and
one (1) year of specialized work experience.
Qualifiying Specialized Work Experience:
Work experience which provided knowledge of and experience applying the processes, policies, procedures, and requirements of social services or assistance programs.
