An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Director to join a growing, multi-site organisation at an important stage of its development.

This is a newly created senior leadership role, reporting to the Managing Director, with responsibility for leading the HR and Recruitment functions and developing the people strategy as the organisation continues to grow.

This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a growing HR function, working closely with senior leadership and helping shape the people infrastructure, culture and talent strategy for the next phase of the organisation's growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the HR and Recruitment functions, including the HR Manager and Recruitment Manager.
• Develop and implement a practical HR strategy aligned with business growth.
• Act as a trusted HR adviser to senior leadership and operational management.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, absence and employment matters.
• Strengthen HR processes, policies, systems and governance as the organisation scales.
• Lead initiatives around succession planning, internal progression and management development.
• Provide strategic oversight of recruitment, workforce planning and talent pipelines.
• Review and improve HR systems, reporting and processes, identifying opportunities to streamline and automate.
• Maintain oversight of GDPR, employment compliance, safeguarding and HR governance.
• Use workforce data and insight to support senior-level decision making.

What We're Looking For

• Significant senior HR leadership experience at HR Director, Head of HR or equivalent level.
• Experience leading HR teams within a sizeable, multi-site or people-intensive organisation.
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and employee relations.
• Experience operating within a regulated environment such as healthcare, nursing homes, hospitals, HSE, childcare or a similar sector.
• Strong understanding of HR governance, compliance and GDPR.
• Experience in management development, succession planning and talent development.
• Strong recruitment and workforce planning experience.
• A commercially minded and pragmatic approach to HR.
• Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills.
• Someone who is approachable, practical and comfortable partnering with operational managers.
