Job Description – HSE Officer
Job Summary
- We are seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to ensure a safe and environmentally responsible workplace by implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. The HSE Officer will conduct site inspections, identify hazards, promote safe work practices, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
- Implement and monitor company and project HSE policies, procedures, and safety plans.

- Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and Hazard Identification.
- Ensure appropriate control measures are implemented for identified hazards.

- Report environmental incidents and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Incident Management
- Report, investigate, and document accidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences.
- Assist in determining root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain incident, accident, and near-miss records.
- Follow up on corrective actions until closure.
- Participate in emergency response and evacuation activities.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct HSE inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Organize toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
- Promote awareness of emergency procedures, PPE requirements, and safe working practices.
- Maintain records of HSE training and competency assessments.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
- Maintain inspection checklists, risk assessments, permits, training records, and safety statistics.
- Monitor HSE KPIs and communicate performance to management.
- Assist with internal and external HSE audits.
- Ensure required HSE documentation is available and up to date.
Required Qualifications
