As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support our retail teams and contribute to a positive, compliant, and engaging employee experience.

Position Overview

The HR Generalist will provide day-to-day HR support to Lovisa's retail and corporate teams, partnering with managers and employees across the organization.

This role will focus heavily on Employee relations, HR administration, HRIS management, employment law compliance, performance management, and HR processes. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ADP, a solid understanding of employment legislation, and the ability to confidently advise managers on HR matters in a fast-paced, multi-location retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations

  • Provide HR guidance and support to Store Managers, District Managers, and employees on a wide range of employee relations matters.

  • Manage and support employee relations concerns, workplace investigations, complaints, and conflict resolution.

  • Partner with leadership to address performance, attendance, conduct, and workplace concerns.

  • Provide guidance on corrective action and disciplinary processes.

  • Support managers with coaching and documentation related to employee performance.

  • Ensure HR practices are applied consistently across locations.

  • Escalate complex or sensitive employee relations matters to HR leadership as appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation related to employee relations matters.

HRIS & ADP Administration

  • Manage and maintain accurate employee information within ADP.

  • Troubleshoot ADP issues and work with appropriate internal teams to resolve system or employee record discrepancies.

  • Ensure employee data and HR records are accurate and up to date.

  • Generate and analyze HR reports from ADP to support business and HR decisions.

  • Monitor HR processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Partner with Payroll and HR leadership to resolve employee data or payroll-related issues.

Employment Law & Compliance

  • Ensure HR practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Maintain current knowledge of employment legislation and regulatory requirements affecting the business.

  • Provide guidance to managers on employment law, company policies, employee relations, wage and hour requirements, leave requirements, and other HR compliance matters.

  • Support compliance with wage and hour laws, meal and rest period requirements, leave laws, employment documentation, and required postings.

  • Assist with HR compliance audits and investigations.

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently across locations.

  • Identify potential compliance risks and escalate concerns to HR leadership.

  • Maintain accurate documentation to support compliance requirements.

Performance Management

  • Support managers throughout the performance management process.

  • Assist with performance reviews, coaching documentation, and performance improvement plans.

  • Provide guidance regarding performance expectations, documentation, and corrective action.

  • Help ensure consistent performance management practices across retail locations.

  • Partner with leadership to address ongoing performance and attendance concerns.

HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.

  • Process employee status and position changes in accordance with company procedures.

  • Prepare HR reports, employee data, and management reports as requested.

  • Support HR policies, procedures, and internal communications.

  • Assist with HR projects, audits, and process improvements.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Support initiatives that promote employee engagement, retention, recognition, and employee development.

  • Partner with retail leadership to identify employee needs and workplace concerns.

  • Assist with HR communications and employee initiatives.

  • Help reinforce Lovisa's culture, values, policies, and standards across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
