Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)

You will provide maintenance on plant equipment to ensure operational and safe. This includes diagnosis of causes of breakdown, removal, rework, welding, machining, and installation of various components. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of pumps, bearings, compressors, valves, power transmissions, fans/ blowers and conveyor systems. This role will be to support production to ensure repairs are done efficiently and effectively, reducing downtime. Valid Mechanical Millwright License 433A or 426A( Apprentices need not apply) Valid Class G Drivers License 8+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment MIG Welding experience, fitting and fabrication experience considered an asset Strong understanding of manufacturing operations Demonstrated knowledge of pumps, bearings, compressors, valves, power transmissions, fans/ blowers and conveyor systems Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude, Ability to read and interpret machine manuals Located in the Oakville/Mississauga area Union facility Great Benefit and RSP 47.94/hr. with shift premium for working night shift Dayshift: 6:30am-6:30pm, Nightshift: 6:30pm-6:30am(Shift work and weekends are required) Requirements Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $47.00-$49.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.00 – 50.00 per week Benefits: Dental care Extended health care On-site parking Paid time off RRSP match Vision care Schedule: Day shift - Monday to Friday Night shift Weekends as needed Experience: millwright: 8 years (required) Language: · English (required) Ability to Commute: · Mississauga, ON (required) Work Location: In person
