What you'll do

  • Oversee the development, execution and governance of innovative partnership (Transform Care) projects with ecosystem partners with the objectives of improving patients’ outcomes and optimising access of AZ’s innovative medicines portfolio, in accordance with local compliance, legal and regulatory guidelines, as well as alignment into the business and brand strategy.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand AZ’s pipeline of innovative clinical trials into Singapore
  • Provide clinical development and indication expertise specific to the country.
  • Validate study designs, contribute to the start-up phase
  • Leverage innovation in clinical trial planning and recruitment strategies
  • Support internal stakeholders and decision boards to prioritize innovative clinical trials to be conducted in Singapore
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to further improve/optimize clinical trials process/ timeline.
  • Leverage existing networks and establish relevant external networks that will facilitate the identification and capture of relevant opportunities to build ecosystem partnerships and increase the implementation of AZ clinical trials locally, aligned to our internal TAs focus and business goals.
  • Lead externalisation input into assigned business area, Medical or Commercial for Transform Care projects with support from the Medical team, Commercial team, Corporate Affairs and Market Access team.
  • Manage the relationship with the potential partners in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively and flexibly to accommodate the various routes through which projects of different natures may arise.
  • Ensure that the evaluations are detailed and objective, with clear opportunity and risk assessment.

  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills

  • Proven negotiation skills and experience of working in an intense deal environment.

This role takes the lead, with oversight by the Medical Director.  Within the specialist area you will manage the development of innovative ecosystem partnership and innovative clinical trial projects end to end, engaging partners through to negotiation and finalisation.

What you'll do

  • Oversee the development, execution and governance of innovative partnership (Transform Care) projects with ecosystem partners with the objectives of improving patients’ outcomes and optimising access of AZ’s innovative medicines portfolio, in accordance with local compliance, legal and regulatory guidelines, as well as alignment into the business and brand strategy.

  • Develop and implement strategies to expand AZ’s pipeline of innovative clinical trials into Singapore:

  • Provide clinical development and indication expertise specific to the country.
