What you'll do

  • Read and interpret assembly and machine detail part blueprints, specifications, GD&T, and other quality documents pertaining to the manufacture of products produced or purchased.
  • Use inspection instruments including CMM’s (MCOSMOS software), optical comparators, micrometers, gauge blocks, calipers, and indicators to measure precision machined aircraft components.
  • Perform necessary mathematical calculations as required with minimum amount of training.
  • Conduct diversity of inspections which may include first article inspections, receiving inspection, final inspection of machined parts and final assemblies, first piece inspections, and in-process sampling.
  • Assist machinists with checking dimensions that cannot be measured at the machine.
  • Check parts for conformity to processes and specifications.
  • Follow standardized procedures with allowable variations defined.
  • Devise ordinary gaging/measuring setups.
  • Generate detailed non-conformance records for non-conforming machined parts or assemblies.

Job Description

Job Overview: 

In this role, you’ll be a key member of our Inspection team helping to inspect and finalize a variety of parts and products for commercial and military aircraft. You’ll be part of our team environment that’s using lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes.

Shift:

Saturday through Monday from 6:00am to 6:30pm CST


Requirements include: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols. 
  • Ability to understand blueprints, machining process sheets, and shop specifications. 
  • Eyesight correctable to 20/20 required.

Pay

The pay for this position is $23 per hour. This posting is expected to close on October 31st, 2026.
