Instrumentation & Control Technician

Execute instrumentation and control pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Perform loop checking, continuity testing, signal verification, and functional testing. Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments. Test and commission transmitters, switches, control valves, actuators, sensors, and analyzers. Perform control valve stroking and functional checks. Troubleshoot instrument, wiring, signal, communication, and control-system faults. Verify installations against P&IDs, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, datasheets, and wiring diagrams. Support testing of PLC, DCS, ESD, fire and gas, and other control systems. Use HART communicators, loop calibrators, pressure calibrators, and related test equipment. Complete calibration sheets, loop folders, commissioning checklists, and test reports. Follow PTW, LOTO, isolation, and HSE procedures. Requirements Diploma, ITI, or technical qualification in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Control Engineering. Minimum 5 years of relevant instrumentation experience. Proven hands-on experience in instrumentation and control commissioning is mandatory. Candidates with only construction or installation experience will not be considered. Strong experience in loop testing, calibration, functional testing, and troubleshooting. Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with PLC, DCS, ESD, fire and gas, transmitters, and control valves. Fluent in spoken and written English. Experience in Oil & Gas and desalination projects will be highly preferred.
