  • Conduct equipment downtime analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions to eliminate recurring failures.

  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to minimize equipment downtime and production interruptions.
  • Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Summary

The Electrical Maintenance & Automation Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, testing, and optimizing electrical and automation systems to ensure manufacturing equipment availability, reliability, and operational efficiency. This role supports preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities while working with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, MES integration, vision systems, and advanced automation technologies. The position contributes to improving equipment performance, reducing downtime, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with Cummins' Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), Quality, and operational standards. The role may also provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.
