The Department Alfred Pathology Service (APS) provides a comprehensive range of pathology testing, consultation services and collection services to clinicians and patients of Alfred Health. The Service has 5 units (Anatomical Pathology, Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology and Human Molecular Pathology), each headed by a Unit Head. APS has the core laboratory at The Alfred as well as a small local laboratory at Sandringham hospital. Position Summary Laboratory Technician to work in our flowcytometry section of the haematology department. They will be responsible for the processing of specimens according to established laboratory procedures under supervision. Their goal is to work as part of a team to achieve high quality work and produce accurate and timely reports. In addition, technicains may be responsible for other duties as instructed and for day to day equipment maintenance, preparation of reagents, and stocktaking if required.
