Line Inspector - Evenings and Nights

Full-Time | Winnipeg, MB

Evening shift | Monday to Friday | 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM

Night shift | Sunday to Thursday | 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Line inspector is an integral part of the quality assurance team, this role will be responsible for ensuring our parts adhere to and comply with our Internal Quality Control System which includes meeting the print and fiberglass standard.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Reads blueprint
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
  • Measures gelcoat and or laminate “wet” mil thickness.
  • Performs final inspection and verification on all parts.
  • Completes first article verifications as required.
  • Ensures that the finish on all parts is cosmetically acceptable to standards i.e., Automotive, Paint, or Industrial.
  • Final inspection and verification that all parts manufactured are dimensionally correct and confirm to shop drawings.
  • Ability to mark parts out and compete first article verifications as required.
  • Reports and follows up on all nonconformities for corrective action.
  • Submits all reports directly to Quality Assurance Supervisor.
  • Ensures that all Documented Work Instructions are followed and have been implemented as they apply to our Quality System.
  • Supports and adheres to all Lean and 5s initiatives.
  • Knowledge of relevant measuring equipment as applicable to the product,
  • Complies to all safety and housekeeping rules and regulations.

  • Demonstrated ability on initiative and sound judgment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to train others when required.
