Management Accountant

MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting a Management Accountant to lead the day to day finance function for a growing business in Woolpit. As Management Accountant, you will oversee the transactional accounting function within the business while providing key insights through the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce monthly management accounts and performance reports.
• Lead the month-end process and maintain robust financial controls.
• Manage and develop the finance team.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Monitor profitability, margins, and overall business performance.
• Oversee VAT, CIS, and other financial compliance activities.
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and constructive challenge.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
• Support finance transformation projects and systems development.

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience preparing management accounts and supporting month end processes.
• Good understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Experience working within an SME or fast-paced business environment.
• Commercially curious, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership.
• Positive, adaptable, and keen to embrace technology, automation, and AI.
