  • Based at our vibrant St Lucia Campus.

About This Opportunity

Join The University of Queensland’s Student Support and Wellbeing Services team in a pivotal leadership role, where you'll help shape a more inclusive, accessible and supportive student experience. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Access and Inclusion, you'll lead the multidisciplinary teams delivering accessibility, welfare, diversity and inclusion services that empower students to fully participate and succeed in university life.

  • Partnering with stakeholders across UQ to foster a coordinated, student-centred approach to service delivery.

  • Leading service improvement, change management and process redesign initiatives to strengthen support outcomes.

  • Providing specialist advice on accessibility, welfare and inclusion matters, informed by legislative and policy requirements.

  • Building a culture of wellbeing, psychosocial safety, accountability and continuous professional growth.

About You

You are an experienced and values-driven leader who is passionate about creating equitable opportunities and improving outcomes for diverse communities. You bring a collaborative leadership style, strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to navigate dynamic environments while maintaining a clear focus on people, service quality and impact.

You will demonstrate:

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams delivering client-centred health, welfare or support services.

  • Experience implementing disability-related legislation and standards into organisational policy, process and service delivery, gained in tertiary, education, government, health, community services or another relevant sector.

  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across large and dynamic organisations.

  • Experience leading projects, service improvements and organisational change initiatives.

  • Strategic thinking, sound judgement and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing teams.

  • A commitment to accessibility, inclusion, student wellbeing and fostering positive outcomes for diverse communities.

This role includes the opportunity and expectation to travel to UQ campuses at Dutton Park, Gatton and Herston while being predominantly based at St Lucia.
