What you'll do

  • Provide shift coverage (weekends) of all Metrology Engineering activities across multiple functional areas for fuel cell manufacturing.
  • Provide rapid response to metrology and inspection equipment downtime and out-of-control conditions. Responsibilities include verifying the validity of detected defects, optimizing inspection software to minimize false rejects, and troubleshooting issues across optical, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify and respond to abnormal conditions, coordinating containment actions and implementing corrective measures within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and deliver clear, timely daily reports to the team.
  • Perform routine measurements, conduct equipment calibrations, and execute Gauge R&R studies to ensure measurement accuracy and system reliability.
  • Ensure work meets or exceeds company workmanship standards. Continuously improve efficiency.

This position will work the night shift, 6pm – 6am, Thursday - Saturday, including every alternating Wednesday.

We are looking for a Metrology Technician to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Metrology and will be based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in factory role.
