Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Data & Platform Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable data and software solutions. The role focuses on Python development, data engineering, platform operations, automation, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Data Engineering

• Design, develop, and support scalable software and data solutions using Python and related technologies.
• Takes end-to-end ownership of deliverables, operational stability, and outcomes.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and automation workflows
• Contribute to automated testing and quality engineering practices.

DevOps & Platform Operations

• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Support application deployments, release management, and operational readiness.
• Monitor application and platform health using Grafana and other monitoring tools.

Production Support & Reliability

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to improve system reliability.
• Optimize application performance through debugging, tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Contribute to process, tool, and engineering practice improvements.
• Collaborative team player with a strong sense of shared ownership.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

Problem Solving & Critical Thinking

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to evaluate complex situations and deliver effective, sustainable solutions.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology solutions to business objectives.

Required Qualifications:

Technical Expertise

• 8–10 years of experience in Python, DevOps, Azure Cloud, Grafana, and Automation Testing 
• Design, build, and support scalable data pipelines, CI/CD automation, and production platforms.
• strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with product teams and clients to deliver reliable, automation-driven solutions.

DevSecOps & Quality

• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices
• Familiarity with tools like SonarQube, Mend, or similar

Modern Engineering

• Exposure to AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
• Strong understanding of secure coding and vulnerability management

Preferred Qualifications

• Agile/Scrum experience
• Oil & Gas domain exposure (E&P preferred)
• Ability to balance hands-on development and leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
