About Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street

Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street combines old world charm with modern luxuries! This newly opened hotel is located in the heart of the CBD, and features 244 stylish guest rooms, including 10 spacious suites, a restaurant and bar, fully equipped gym and five meeting & event spaces.

 

About the role

As the Night Manager, you will report directly to the Front Office Manager as you lead the overnight Front Office operation, supporting team members, managing guest arrivals and departures, completing night audit procedures, and responding to guest concerns, operational matters or emergencies that may arise overnight. You will be someone who is helpful, thoughtful and engaging in their approach, and who takes genuine pride in creating memorable guest experiences. Specifically, you will be responsible for: 

  • Manage and take full responsibility for the hotel during the overnight hours
  • Handle guest requests, inquiries and complaints promptly

  • Complete Night Audit duties
  • Ensure all team members are prepared and well-informed to deliver guests an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out
  • Maximise sales revenues through up-selling and marketing programs within the department

  • Understand and demonstrate correct procedures regarding credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy
  • Handle any management issues or emergencies that arise, record and resolve as necessary

  • Monitor guest satisfaction reports and implement actions to improve results
  • Upholding and maintaining Hilton brand standards

 

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a leadership front office role in a similar sized hotel
  • Fluent in the English language in order to communicate professionally with guests and team members, both in person and over the telephone
  • Excellent leadership, inter-personal and training and development skills
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure
  • Well-presented, organised and have a calm personality
  • High level of IT skills, including Excel and Word
