The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. The Hans Foundation works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and under-served groups, with an additional focus on children, persons with disabilities and women. THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities. Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North, North-East and East regions within specific states, as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities, through urban programs.

Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 57 million beneficiaries through its programs. THF works with communities through direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organisations in India funded through THF USA and RIST.

Key Responsibilities:

• The nurses posted in the unit will be responsible for nursing care including weight record; measure, mix and dispense feed; give oral drugs; supervise intra venous fluids; assess clinical signs and fill the multichart with all the routine information.

• The nurse will also counsel mothers/caregivers on the emotional needs of her child and encourage them to give sensory stimulation. She is also in charge of the structured play therapy.

• Providing nursing care including recording weight of admitted children periodically, measuring

• mixing and dispensing food, etc.

• Administrating the right dose of drug and injectables at the right time as per prescription of paediatrician or medical officer

• Administration intra- venous fluids as per guidance and advice of paediatrician or medical officer.

• Assessing the clinical sign and filling the multi chart with all routine immunization.

• Filling the daily intake sheet, the SAM information sheet & consulting with nutritionist on the time table and therapeutic diet plan for each child.

• Carrying out screening and following all the step in the management of SAM cases as per recommended guidelines.

• Any other related task that may be assigned by reporting manger.

• Completed 1.5 years of training as a Multipurpose Health Worker (Female) at an approved training center.

• Registered with the Jharkhand Nursing Council.

• Strong nursing and patient care skills.
