Our client is looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead an exciting transformation at their Princes Risborough nursery.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a nursery with enormous potential and truly make it your own.

With significant investment already made, including a full refurbishment completed last year, more investment and refurbishment underway and an outdoor garden now double its original size with even more space to develop, the foundations are firmly in place. Now they're looking for the right leader to bring the vision to life.

The next chapter includes rebuilding the team, relaunching the baby unit, strengthening occupancy and creating a nursery that the local community is proud of.

If you're someone who gets excited by building, developing and creating something exceptional rather than simply maintaining the status quo, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

An Honest Opportunity

The owners are refreshingly open about the journey so far.

Like many businesses, they've faced challenges with leadership at this nursery and recognise that finding the right Nursery Manager has been the missing piece of the puzzle.

Rather than hiding from that, they're embracing it.

They actively welcome conversations with prospective candidates and encourage anyone with questions or reservations to come and meet them personally. They want you to understand who they are, what they stand for and the vision they're building, not simply judge the opportunity on the nursery's past.

Their business has always specialised in acquiring nurseries with untapped potential, investing heavily in them and helping them become thriving, successful settings. Whilst that naturally comes with inherited challenges and reputational hurdles, it has also created many incredible success stories.

They're not a corporate chain focused on numbers.

They're a collection of individual nurseries, each with its own identity, supported by owners who genuinely care about their people, their children and creating environments where teams can thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

As Nursery Manager, you'll lead the nursery through an exciting period of growth and transformation.

You'll create a positive, high-performing culture where children, families and your team can flourish, while shaping every aspect of the nursery's future.

Working closely with a supportive leadership team, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions, develop your people and create a nursery you're proud to put your name to.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering outstanding care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Championing safeguarding and children's wellbeing.
  • Recruiting, coaching and developing a passionate, high-performing team.
  • Creating a positive, collaborative and accountable culture.
  • Driving occupancy and building strong relationships within the local community.
  • Relaunching the nursery's baby unit and supporting its continued growth.
  • Managing budgets, payroll and day-to-day nursery operations.
  • Maintaining full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted and all relevant legislation.
  • Supporting marketing initiatives, open days and community engagement.

What Our Client Offers

  • Welcome Bonus
  • Additional Commuting Bonus for candidates travelling from outside the Princes Risborough area
  • Birthday off every year
  • Employee of the Month recognition
  • Regular staff outings and team events
  • Health & Wellbeing benefits
  • Refer a Friend bonus scheme
  • Staff discounts
  • Ongoing professional development and training
  • Genuine career progression within a growing group of nurseries
  • Future opportunities to progress into Field Manager for the right individual

About You

You'll be an experienced Nursery Manager and excited by the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

You'll bring:

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • At least two years' leadership experience within an Early Years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
  • A resilient, hands-on leadership style.
  • Experience developing teams and creating positive working cultures.
  • The ability to lead through change and inspire others.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional childcare and early years education.

Why This Role?

Opportunities like this don't come around often.

You'll inherit a nursery that has already benefited from significant investment, work alongside owners who are honest, supportive and passionate about their vision, and have the chance to shape the future of an entire setting.

If you've ever wanted to build something that's truly yours, create a culture people love being part of and look back knowing you transformed a nursery from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.
