Key Details:
– Location: Liverpool
– Role: Out-of-Hours GP
– Rate: £90 per hour
– Availability: Flexible availability across 3–5 days
– Working pattern: Weekday evenings, weekends and bank holidays, from a central urgent care base
– Patient workload: Base consultations, telephone assessment and a share of home visits
– Clinical system: EMIS
– Start date: Shifts available from next month

Key Responsibilities:
– Assessing and treating patients with urgent, same-day presentations
– Carrying out telephone clinical assessments and deciding the right care pathway
– Completing home visits with dedicated driver support
– Liaising with NHS 111, A&E and community teams where escalation is needed

About the Opportunity:
Every shift has a clear, well-rehearsed structure. You’ll start with a briefing from the shift lead, work with experienced call handlers and nurse practitioners, and have visit logistics handled for you. Because it’s Out-of-Hours, there’s no inbox or results backlog waiting for you afterwards. When the shift ends, your work is done. It’s ideal if you want to keep your days free or add well-paid urgent care work to your existing commitments.

Requirements:
– Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
– Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List
– Right to work in the UK
– Appropriate medical indemnity cover
– Recent OOH or urgent care experience preferred
– Up-to-date compliance
