Are you passionate about turning operational challenges into measurable business results? We're looking for a Operational Excellence Senior Specialist to lead the deployment of The Maersk Way (TMW) across Customs operations in the NEC Area.

In this role, you'll work closely with Operations, Product, Digital, and Area leadership to drive continuous improvement, build high-performing teams, and deliver scalable solutions that create lasting business impact. If you enjoy solving complex problems, coaching others, and leading change in a fast-paced logistics environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do

  • Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of The Maersk Way (TMW) across Customs operations.

  • Drive performance through Lean methodologies, structured problem-solving, Kaizen workshops, and data-driven decision making.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and deliver sustainable operational improvements.

  • Establish effective performance management governance,, performance routines, and operational standards.

  • Coach and develop frontline teams, strengthening a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Collaborate with Digital and Data teams to ensure improvement initiatives are practical, scalable, and enabled by the right technology.

What you'll bring

  • 7+ years of experience in Customs operations or Customs management within logistics or supply chain.

  • Strong background in Operational Excellence, Lean, or Continuous Improvement (A3, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management).

  • A proven track record of delivering measurable business improvements through cross-functional collaboration.

  • Experience leading change and influencing stakeholders across matrix organizations.

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills, with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.

  • Experience with structured project management methodologies (such as PMI or PRINCE2) is an advantage.
