Operational Risk Management Senior Analyst

What You'll Be Doing

The Operational Risk Management (ORM) Sr analyst will support the Operational Risk Director in executing the Operational Risk Management program. This second-line defense position contributes to the firm’s overall management of operational risk by overseeing first-line defense activities through objective risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of the firm’s risk profile. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership, consultation, and support for risk management techniques, practices, and procedures that protect the firm from loss and exposure.

What We're Looking For

• Support key Operational Risk functional areas such as RCSA including related assessment activities through analysis, coordination, issue tracking, and stakeholder follow-up.• Analyze KRIs, risk indicators, root causes, trends, controls, and taxonomy changes to identify themes, improvement opportunities, and risk-aligned enhancements.• Coordinate change requests, documentation, approvals, testing, and implementation tracking across ERM programs.• Maintain ERM/ORM program plans, roadmaps, milestones, risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and outcomes across various ERM initiatives.• Prepare consolidated status updates, management reporting, agendas, presentation materials, and supporting analysis for leadership review.• Coordinate stakeholder submissions, meeting schedules, reporting timelines, decisions, follow-up actions, and closure of open items.• Assist with stakeholder walkthroughs including detailed documentation of processes, risks and control enhancements to support ERM objectives.• Support products and services enhancements, and other priority initiatives by coordinating requirements, deliverables, and implementation activities.• Assist with external advisor and GRC vendor interactions, research requests, touchpoints, deliverables, and recommendations aligned with ERM priorities.• Develop proposals, options, organizational roadmap analysis, and supporting materials for management review and stakeholder engagement.• Perform other related duties as required.

Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management Information Systems or related field.• Minimum Required: 5+ years of risk management/compliance experience and/or financial services industry experience.• Knowledge and understanding of executing the Risk and Control Self-Assessment program (Inherent/Residual risk, Control Design, and Issue Management).

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft 365: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.• Preferred: Experience working with a GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) software platform.#LI-JK1

Compensation Range

Salary: USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $151,000.00/Yr. Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
