About this role

OTC Functional Analyst

At Johnson Controls, you will help support the systems and processes that enable customers to move from order to cash with accuracy, speed, and confidence. You will work with cross-functional teams to improve business performance, strengthen operational reliability, and support the day-to-day flow of Oracle Fusion OTC processes.

Role Overview

As an OTC Functional Analyst, you will support and improve Order-to-Cash processes across areas such as order management, invoicing, receipts, customer master data, and month-end activities. This role is well suited for a professional with 4-6 years of experience who enjoys solving business problems, working closely with stakeholders, and turning functional requirements into effective system support and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Oracle Fusion Order-to-Cash processes and contribute to stable, efficient business operations.
  • Analyze functional requirements and help translate them into practical system solutions and process enhancements.
  • Work with business and technical teams to support order management, invoicing, customer receipts, and related OTC activities.
  • Assist with issue resolution, root cause analysis, and post-go-live support for business-critical processes.
  • Support month-end close activities for OTC-related subledger processes, including reconciliation and documentation support.
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve process reliability, data quality, and end-user experience.
  • Contribute to testing, validation, and change support for system updates and process changes.
  • Document functional flows, business rules, and support activities clearly and consistently.

How You Will Do It

  • You will stay close to the business process, listen carefully to user needs, and remove friction where it affects customers or operations.
  • You will own your work with accountability, accuracy, safety-minded thinking, and integrity in every step.
  • You will use a continuous-improvement mindset, asking questions, challenging gaps, and helping the team solve problems early.
  • You will collaborate openly across business and technology teams, building trust and aligning different perspectives toward one outcome.
  • You will support structured issue handling, clear documentation, and disciplined follow-through from analysis through resolution.
  • You will contribute to reliable delivery by working methodically through testing, validation, and operational support activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in an OTC functional analyst, business analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash processes and their impact across the business.
  • Experience supporting Oracle Fusion OTC processes, including order management, invoicing, receipts, or related finance activities.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements, identify process gaps, and support functional solutions.
  • Experience working with customer master data and month-end close activities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to documentation and follow-up.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on exposure to Oracle Fusion Financials AR or Oracle Fusion Order Management.
  • Experience with invoice processing, receipt handling, or AR subledger support.
  • Familiarity with DevOps or Agile ways of working.
  • Experience supporting testing cycles, change requests, or post-go-live operational support.

Why Join Us

You will be part of a team that values practical problem-solving, customer impact, and continuous improvement. At Johnson Controls, your ideas and collaboration can help strengthen the processes that keep business moving and customers supported.

If you are ready to bring your OTC expertise to a role where your work can make a real difference, we encourage you to apply.
