About this role
A highly organized and proactive part-time Family Assistant is sought for a busy family in Tiburon. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted partner in managing the family's day-to-day logistics, including scheduling, errands, vendor coordination, transportation, and household administration. This role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, an excellent communicator, and naturally anticipates what needs to be done.
Responsibilities:
Manage family calendars, appointments, schedules, and day-to-day logistics.
Coordinate household vendors, service providers, repairs, and maintenance projects.
Run errands and assist with household-related tasks and purchases.
Provide occasional driving for the family's school-aged child, including transportation to and from activities and sports in San Francisco.
Coordinate care and appointments for the family's two dogs, including veterinary appointments, grooming, walking schedules, and other pet-related needs.
Monitor upcoming needs and proactively identify ways to make the household run more smoothly.
Assist with special projects, travel preparation, scheduling changes, and other family needs as they arise.
Maintain clear communication with the family and ensure commitments and follow-ups are completed.
Work collaboratively with the family's housekeeper, dog walker, and other household support professionals.
Qualifications:
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly proactive and resourceful, with excellent follow-through.
Calm, flexible demeanor and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Strong judgment and discretion when handling personal and family matters.
Comfortable managing multiple schedules, vendors, appointments, and competing priorities.
Confident and responsible driver with a clean driving record.
Comfortable around dogs and in a busy family household.
Tech-savvy and comfortable managing digital calendars, scheduling, communication, and household logistics.
Strong references and a clean background check required.
A long-term, dependable mindset is highly valued.
Salary: $45 - $50 per hour
Schedule: 3 days per week / 24+ hours per week
