Job Summary

The Pharmacy Buyer, acts as an official purchasing agent for the Pharmacy Department. Promotes the most effective use of the organization's funds in the acquisition of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies and assures pharmaceutical products are available when needed.

Pay Range

Minimum $28.07 Midpoint $37.18 Maximum $46.31

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

* Required: Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an acute care hospital or a pediatric hospital setting.

* Preferred: Experience in pediatric or pharmaceutical purchasing setting.

Education

* Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.

* Preferred: Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology.

Training

* Required: Graduated from an ASHP accredited Pharmacy Technician Training program.

Specialized Skills
