Educational Qualifications
|
Graduate in Paint technology from reputed institute with good academic track record/ Mechanical Engineer with relevant work experience

5. KEY COMPETENCIES

Technical
|

- Knowledge of advance Paint, Plating and Powder coating technology and Basics of each process.
- Awareness about Paint and Plating lab testing equipment
- Knowledge about colour shade measurement and matching
- Analytical ability for process abnormality identification, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Knowledge of production planning, line balancing, cycle time optimization and productivity improvement
- Paint Quality and Durability improvement
- Paint shop running cost & open losses reduction
- Exposure to TPM, OEE improvement and preventive maintenance systems
- Analytical ability and Process know how to identify abnormality mapping.
- Should have knowledge and exposure in implementation of TPM systems
- Awareness of safety systems, environmental norms and ISO systems applicable to Paint Shop operations
- Understanding of engineering drawings and process documentation

6. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
|
- Ensure achievement of daily/monthly production targets in Paint Shop with adherence to quality, cost and delivery requirements
- Monitor and control Paint Shop processes including pre-treatment, painting, curing and finishing operations
- Ensure smooth operation of paint shop equipment including painting bells, conveyors, ovens and utility systems
- Drive line efficiency, productivity improvement and manpower optimization initiatives
- Skill & capability development of team members
- Monitor critical process parameters and ensure process discipline for consistent paint quality
- Coordinate with QA for defect reduction, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Lead troubleshooting activities for production and process-related issues
- Ensure implementation and sustenance of TPM, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive OEE improvement and reduction in paint consumption, rework and rejection levels
- Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance teams for process improvements and equipment modifications
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental and statutory requirements in Paint Shop operations
- Support new model trials, engineering changes and process validation activities
- Develop team capability through training, skill development and performance monitoring
- Ensure proper production reporting, documentation and shift-wise performance review
- Drive cost optimization initiatives related to consumables, utilities and manpower utilization
