What you'll do

  • Operate and monitor VII blending and filling processes under the guidance of the Lead Operator using the Yokogawa DCS system.
  • Handle polymer bales and load them onto the automatic bale feeding conveyor system.
  • Perform additive decanting activities from drums into designated storage tanks.
  • Support start-up, shutdown, and routine operation of the Thermal Oil Heater system.
  • Respond to process alarms and record operating parameters in plant log sheets.
  • Assist in troubleshooting process deviations and off-specification blends.
  • Collect process samples from dissolvers, holding tanks, and other designated locations.
  • Submit samples to the laboratory for quality analysis.
  • Support sampling activities for the Lubricants Blending Plant (LOBP) as required.
  • Support base oil vessel receipt operations, including jetty activities and associated transfer operations.
  • Conduct physical tank gauging and assist in periodic inventory reconciliation and month-end stock counts.
  • Operate oil interceptor and dyke drain valve systems in accordance with operating procedures.

  • Diploma in Engineering, Chemical Process Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • With at least 1-3 years of experience in a lubricant blending plant, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, or oil and gas operations environment.
  • Working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
  • Able to perform rotating shift work.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working at heights when required.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (AWSHPP).
  • Work-at-Height (WAH) certification.
  • Experience in bulk liquid handling, tanker receipt operations, or blending processes.
  • Basic understanding of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Plant Operator located in Jurong Terminal, Singapore through 25 September 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (SGT).

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Production & Plant Operations

  • Operate and monitor VII blending and filling processes under the guidance of the Lead Operator using the Yokogawa DCS system.

  • Handle polymer bales and load them onto the automatic bale feeding conveyor system.

  • Perform additive decanting activities from drums into designated storage tanks.

  • Support start-up, shutdown, and routine operation of the Thermal Oil Heater system.

  • Respond to process alarms and record operating parameters in plant log sheets.

  • Assist in troubleshooting process deviations and off-specification blends.

Sampling & Quality Assurance

  • Collect process samples from dissolvers, holding tanks, and other designated locations.

  • Submit samples to the laboratory for quality analysis.

  • Support sampling activities for the Lubricants Blending Plant (LOBP) as required.

Tank Farm & Marine Operations

  • Support base oil vessel receipt operations, including jetty activities and associated transfer operations.

  • Conduct physical tank gauging and assist in periodic inventory reconciliation and month-end stock counts.

  • Operate oil interceptor and dyke drain valve systems in accordance with operating procedures.

Logistics & Documentation

  • Operate the weighbridge system for isotanks, tank trucks, waste trucks, and other vehicles.

  • Perform SAP transactions related to isotank loading and generate delivery documentation.

  • Raise maintenance work orders and report equipment abnormalities through the appropriate systems.

Safety & Compliance

  • Support Permit-to-Work (PTW) activities and carry out field Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) implementation.

  • Perform daily operational inspections and routine checklists at the start of each shift.

  • Identify, report, and follow up on abnormal equipment or process conditions.

  • Comply with Operational Excellence (OE), safety, environmental, and quality requirements at all times.

Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Train and coach new operators and contractors on safe work practices and operational procedures.

  • Participate in operational improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Lead Operator or Supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

Relocation Options:
