Portal Support Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and solution-focused Portal Support Specialist to play a key role in the continued growth and optimization of our digital commerce platform. Working closely with the Product Owner, based in the Netherlands, you will help shape platform enhancements, test newly developed functionality, and support internal users while occasionally assisting customers.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse group of stakeholders, including IT professionals, external development partners, and business teams. While the wider team is geographically dispersed, the role follows a hybrid working model based at our Brough office.

Key Responsibilities- What will you do?
  • Contribute to discussions around new feature requests, business requirements, and workflow improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance user experience and platform efficiency.
  • Monitor platform performance and analyze user behavior to support data-driven decision making.
  • Assist in translating business needs into clear requirements through research, wireframes, and process mapping.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for new releases and enhancements.
  • Investigate, document, and escalate technical issues while partnering with development teams to implement solutions.
  • Act as the primary contact for portal-related support queries from internal teams and, when required, external customers.
  • Troubleshoot system issues independently and communicate resolutions clearly to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding materials, user guides, and process documentation.

Job Requirements- What do you need?
  • Previous experience in a business support, systems support, or e-commerce-related position.
  • A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience testing digital platforms or software applications would be advantageous.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality user experiences.
  • Eagerness to learn, develop new skills, and take ownership of challenging projects.
  • Living and working rights in the UK.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant support, e-commerce, digital platform, or IT-related role.
  • Experience using wireframing or prototyping tools such as Figma is beneficial.
  • Exposure to SQL and ERP environments, ideally SAP Business One.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, User Experience, Digital Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
