What you'll build

As a key pillar of Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations, SAP Cloud Application Services (CAS) offers our customers a seamless and unified SAP application support offering.

We are seeking a Principal Delivery Lead (m/f/d) to play a key role in shaping and driving the development of a unified and competitive business unit within the regulated sector, with a focus on support services for managing cloud applications. In this role, you will report to the Head of Global Cloud Application Services and be responsible for CAS delivery in Germany and Western Europe. You will ensure the smooth delivery of support services for cloud applications (both private and public cloud solutions).

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: managing contract delivery, overseeing the transition to CAS support, monitoring operations, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and fulfilling agreed-upon commercial service levels. Furthermore, you will drive business growth and continuous improvement, manage partner service delivery, and support the planning and coordination of release upgrades. You will assist customers in building a cloud operations framework in SAP cloud environments, ensure compliance and interoperability, and establish a sustainable, customer-centric market presence for cloud application services. Key performance indicators include increasing CAS usage, meeting commercial targets, improving customer satisfaction and loyalty, and meeting revenue and margin expectations.

 

What you bring

• At least 10 years of comprehensive experience in software delivery and cloud operations, covering strategic account management, business development, global operations, commercialization, and customer success
• In-depth knowledge of the SAP cloud portfolio and related offerings, as well as experience in global deployment implementation
• Proven experience leading delivery teams within an ITIL framework, with a focus on service level agreement (SLA) compliance, continuous improvement, upselling, and customer relationship building
• Proven experience in managing and coordinating SAP release upgrades, SAP Release Management 
• Business acumen of the SaaS and IaaS markets, including in-depth knowledge of the SAP cloud portfolio and offerings, as well as market and competitive intelligence
• Understanding of commercial contracts and back-to-back agreements, and the ability to participate in commercial negotiations.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken are a must. 
• Commitment to maintaining up to 5 days office presence for efficient team collaboration in the office locations Berlin or St. Leon Rot. 
• Fostering a culture of trust, feedback, and transparency, as well as valuing diversity, high integrity, and ethical conduct 
• Ability to communicate effectively at the C-level or management level (while maintaining an eye for detail)·    

Due to the potentially classified nature of our work, your willingness is required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process.
