Collins aerospace is looking to hire Machine Operator - Shotpeen; you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the robotic shot peening process as required.

Work Shift: Weekend Night (Friday-Sunday) 6:00 pm - 6:00 am)

What You Will Do

• Setup equipment by loading and unloading of robotic shotpeen work centers.
• Follow part process techniques, operation sketches and special handler instructions, to include, but not limited to loading/unloading of shot peen machines and airflow, intensity and pressure techniques
• Work alongside Process Technicians to optimize machines and produce quality parts.
• Monitor and optimize efficiencies of the automated line
• Read OP sketches and work instructions to identify with requirements
• Minimize and mitigate machine downtime through the use of the ANDON system
• Maintain acceptable production, quality levels, and departmental equipment, as well as practice safety in the workplace and maintain good housekeeping
• Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications You Must Have

• High school diploma, with a minimum of one year of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong PC skills and understanding of written work instructions.
• Demonstrated experience in material handling and hoist operations required
• The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

• Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner.

The salary range for this role is 61,334 CAD - 77,738 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
