Job Summary

The Procurement Expert is responsible for managing third-party suppliers to ensure performance, compliance, cost efficiency, and alignment with business needs. This role oversees supplier onboarding, contract governance, spend control, risk mitigation, and operational support, acting as a key interface between internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Responsibilities

Strategic Vendor Management

• Identify, qualify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers aligned with business and operational requirements

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with critical suppliers to ensure performance, innovation, and long-term collaboration

Contract Negotiation and Management

• Negotiate commercial contracts, operational clauses, and service level agreements (SLAs), particularly in regions without local procurement support

• Ensure contracts are properly documented, up to date, and monitored for renewals and expirations

PR, PO, and Spend Management

• Manage the creation, tracking, and approval of purchase requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders (POs)

• Monitor and analyze supplier-related operational spend (EMS spend), identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities

Vendor Onboarding and Offboarding

• Execute standardized supplier onboarding and offboarding processes in compliance with global policies

• Ensure proper documentation, compliance validation, and system access management

Internal Stakeholder Support

• Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams and suppliers to address requests, escalations, and operational issues

• Monitor supplier performance and SLA adherence to ensure service quality

Risk Mitigation and Compliance

• Assess third-party risks and implement mitigation actions as required

• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements

Cross-Functional Integration

• Collaborate closely with related teams (e.g., Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, Asset Management, Finance, Legal) to support supplier operations, contract renewals, and new acquisitions

• Serve as the vendor management interface supporting logistics, storage, and asset movement activities tied to contracted services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Proven experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, Contract Management, or related functions

• Experience managing suppliers, contracts, and operational spend

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills

• Analytical mindset with the ability to manage and interpret spend and performance data

• Solid understanding of contract governance and SLA management

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities

• Knowledge of compliance, third-party risk management, and corporate governance frameworks is a plus

Working Conditions
