What you'll do

  • Product Strategy & Discovery: Work directly with partner engineering teams (networks, wallets, AI platforms) to translate emerging standards like Agentic Tokens, ACP, UCP, MPP, etc… into concrete product requirements and roadmaps.
  • Own and drive multi-partner technical integrations end-to-end - you'll be in the weeds with partner engineers, not just handing off specs.
  • Represent VGS in emerging standards conversations, helping define how agent-initiated transactions are authorized, tokenized, and secured across networks.
  • Design browser automation tooling that allow for AI systems to perform human-like interactions in a way that keeps the AI system out of scope with
  • Help build a product point of view on how agentic commerce should work technically, then use that conviction to influence partners and internal engineering roadmaps.
  • Understand, integrate with, and build on top of pre-existing VGS tokenization and payments infrastructure.

What they're looking for

  • 3+ years as a Product Manager, with prior experience in a technically-hands-on role - solutions engineering, technical account management, integration engineering, or software engineering - within payments, fintech, or API platforms.
  • Direct experience delivering APIs, SDKs, or protocols in a partner-facing capacity. You've been the person on the call debugging an integration in real time, and understand what’s needed to fully operationalize a product concept. This includes designing reporting, observability, and other similar systems.
  • Genuine, demonstrated interest in AI/agentic systems - side projects, contributions, or professional work exploring how AI agents interact with external systems.
  • Communication Skills: Comfortable moving between deeply technical partner engineering conversations and executive/GTM conversations about strategy and roadmap.

Nice to have

  • Experience with tokenization, payment processing, or security products
  • BA/BS degree
  • A knack for out-of-the-box thinking that thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Prior work with AI agent frameworks, LLM tooling, or agent-to-agent protocols.

About VGS

VGS is building the trust infrastructure for a new era of commerce. As commerce becomes agentic, payments are increasing dramatically in volume, speed, and complexity, and the companies driving that shift need a foundation they can fully trust.

That's where VGS comes in. We're the world's leader in payment tokenization, trusted by the most innovative AI and Fortune 500 companies, merchants, banks, and fintechs to power modern payments and agentic commerce. We store more than 9 billion tokens and process more than 10 billion monthly interactions, touching a third of all e-commerce. That scale isn't incidental. It's why leading companies embed our universal token vault and credential management platform directly into their stack, taming the complexity of payment data so they can move faster.

Come build the platform that enables modern payments for the world's largest companies. We're helping businesses unlock new possibilities in an industry that never stops moving. And that takes exceptional people.

About the Role

In this role, you will work with the world’s largest wallets, card networks, and AI/agent platforms. This includes coordinating directly with the networks (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), and emerging AI commerce and agent-payments providers. You will be focusing on building seamless token APIs, defining and implementing protocols, and trust frameworks that let agents pay securely on behalf of humans. This industry is evolving before our eyes, and you will define what "agent-ready" payments infrastructure looks like before the rest of the industry has agreed on the answer.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

  • Experience: 3+ years as a Product Manager, with prior experience in a technically-hands-on role - solutions engineering, technical account management, integration engineering, or software engineering - within payments, fintech, or API platforms.

Mindset:

  • Partner-savvy strategist: You've spent years sitting at the intersection of technical specs and business relationships. This includes interpreting protocol docs, negotiating requirements with vendor and partner teams, and  translating product ideas into a roadmap that gets delivered.

  • Curious about the frontier: You're drawn to agentic commerce because it's genuinely unsolved, not just because it's trendy.

  • Technical credibility with product instincts: You can hold your own in a technical design review, but you're increasingly motivated by shaping "what should we build" over "how do we build it.". This means that you can confidently define the differences between various agentic protocols, understand API specs across vendors, and create easy to use interfaces that solve the underlying technical problems rather than giving the issues to the end-consumer to solve.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with tokenization, payment processing, or security products

  • BA/BS degree

  • A knack for out-of-the-box thinking that thrives in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Prior work with AI agent frameworks, LLM tooling, or agent-to-agent protocols.

We're looking for passionate professionals who take pride in their craft and want to help grow a team tackling some of the most critical problems in payments. People who thrive here are curious by nature, unafraid of hard problems, and motivated by the chance to build something that matters at scale.

If you're driven to make a meaningful impact, work at the leading edge of payment technology, and grow your career alongside a team that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning, you'll feel right at home at VGS.
