  • Willingness to participate in the weekend on-call rotation.
  • Required training (provided by ICS if needed), including Emergency First Aid with CPR-C, MANDT, SafeTALK, Medication Management, Safe Food Handling, Abuse and Neglect Awareness training and other mandatory training.

ABOUT THE JOB

Interior Community Services (ICS) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Program Coordinator to lead our new Desert Gardens Day Program. In this leadership role, you'll oversee daily operations, support and develop staff, and help adults with diverse abilities achieve meaningful, independent lives through person-centred services.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Desert Gardens Day Program
  • Recruit, onboard, supervise, coach, and support program staff.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
  • Ensure quality service delivery, documentation, and compliance with agency, licensing, and CLBC standards.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

LOCATION: Kamloops, BC

STATUS: Temporary Full-Time

TERM: 12 months with the possiblity of extension

HOURS of WORK: 35 hours per week

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm (according to Handidart scheduling), with participation in on-call manager rotation (2-3 weekends a year with pay)

REPORTS TO: Desert Gardens Program Manager

COMPENSATION: $35.82-$41.13 (Grid 14 as per collective agreement)
