What you'll do
- Works collaboratively and independently to develop, implement, and support AVANGRID’s emergency management preparedness, planning, and response functions across electric, natural gas, and hydro operations.
- Ensuring effective and efficient response to all-hazard events, with a primary focus on major electric and natural gas system outages, including planning and preparation before events and execution during emergencies
- Play a critical role in the creation, development and implementation of the AVANGRID emergency management preparedness and planning program.
- Responsible for driving strategy, continuous improvement, and execution of operational readiness activities.
- Develops effective emergency management policies and procedures to ensure preparedness for future events.
- Ensures internal alignment and training for emergency response.
- May serve as the AVANGRID emergency management representative for various governmental and/or regulatory entities.

Summary:
Works collaboratively and independently to develop, implement, and support AVANGRID’s emergency management preparedness, planning, and response functions across electric, natural gas, and hydro operations. This role is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient response to all-hazard events, with a primary focus on major electric and natural gas system outages, including planning and preparation before events and execution during emergencies
Key Responsibilities
This program manager position will play a critical role in the creation, development and implementation of the AVANGRID emergency management preparedness and planning program. Responsibilities include pre and post emergency response activities. The established ICS structure will continue to manage and conduct operations during the actual emergency event.
Responsible for driving strategy, continuous improvement, and execution of operational readiness activities.
Develops effective emergency management policies and procedures to ensure preparedness for future events.
Ensures internal alignment and training for emergency response.
May serve as the AVANGRID emergency management representative for various governmental and/or regulatory entities.
