  • Uses engineering judgement to review and resolve changed and/or unforeseen conditions
  • Participates in quality control checks, maintaining quality standards in all work produced, checking computations, and/or reviewing designs and drawings performed by others.
  • Reviews shop drawings within area of expertise for conformance with contractual requirements.
  • Coordinates operation within organization unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
  • Follows all applicable safety protocols while onsite, including requirements established by contract documents, client standards, and internal policies, and promptly reports observed hazards or concerns.

Job Description

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Construction Management Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Denver, CO.  

Your Role

About You

  • EXPERIENCE:
    • 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.
  • EDUCATION:
    • Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field from an ABET accredited college/university.
  • SPECIAL SKILLS:
    • Ability to walk long distances, climb ladders, stoop, squat and crawl to inspect work; ability to observe construction activities and distinguish colors; and ability to perceive back-up alarms and other warnings.
    • Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions, subject to insects, flooded terrain, equipment/traffic, and other hazards.
    • Position may require nonstandard work shifts, such as overtime hours, weekend shifts, and/or night shifts as per the client’s and/or manager’s direction.
    • Position requires driving company vehicle. Incumbent must have valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company policy.
  • PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS:
    • E.I. or E.I.T. is highly preferred, or ability to obtain.

Additional Information 

Expected compensation range is between $70,000 - $80,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
