Overview:

The role is with an established regional main contractor based in the Nottingham area, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the Midlands and wider UK. The business has an established presence across sectors including commercial and public-sector projects.

As Project Manager, you will lead a multi-million pound project in Nottingham City Centre responsible for for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the scheme, working closely with the commercial, planning and site teams and reporting into the Director and wider senior management team.

The Role:

As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, ensuring it is delivered safely, commercially and in line with the agreed programme and client requirements.

You will work alongside an established team and be responsible for coordinating site operations, managing subcontractors and ensuring all project milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the £20m+ project.
• Lead and manage the established project and site team.
• Work closely with the Planner to develop, monitor and maintain the project programme.
• Set realistic project timelines and ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Work closely with the Commercial team to monitor project costs, preliminaries and staffing.
• Maintain overall cost control throughout the project.
• Manage subcontractors and specialist contractors to ensure works are delivered to programme and specification.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Provide regular progress updates to the client and senior management team.
• Ensure the project is delivered to the required quality, programme and commercial objectives.

The Requirements:

• Relevant construction qualifications, including SMSTS and appropriate CSCS certification.
• The confidence to take ownership of a major project and work closely with both the client and senior management.
• It would be highly advantageous if applicants had experience delivering healthcare projects for a main contractor.
• Experience managing and leading project teams.
