  • Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
  • Prepares and issues purchase orders.
  • Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports.
  • Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Develops and installs clerical and office procedures and practices, studies workflow, and sequence of operations.
  • Seeks improvements in methods, suppliers, goods, and services in order to meet cost reduction goals.
  • Oversees the reporting of supplier performance to quality, delivery, and cost criteria. Supervises the approved supplier listing and performance reporting.
  • Acts as a liaison between suppliers and departments, and also between departments on purchasing issues.
  • Establishes long term goals for purchasing to meet corporate goals.
  • Responsible for the following commodities: Injection molding; zinc die-casting; mirror gas; springs; electro chromatic elements; production tooling; tool repair, etc.
  • Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Human Resources for action.
  • Shares oversight and supervisory responsibilities for environmental compliance issues.

Job Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:

Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies in organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts and participates in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities. demonstrates EHS leadership by leadership by setting a good example. Makes sure employee concerns related to EHS are addressed and contacts the EHS Department if further assistance is needed. Ensures and promotes continual improvement and safety performance through key performance indicators. Ensure associates receive training on how to perform their jobs safely. Ensure SDS are reviewed prior to any purchase and approval of safety is documented prior to release of PO. Ensure Division safety requirements are reviewed by any contractors working for the division. Ensure that all suppliers are meeting the required safety regulations for product and service needs.

REQUIREMENTS:
