  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Verify incoming documentation, including Certificates of Analysis (CoA) or Certificates of Conformance (CoC), against purchase order requirements and internal specifications.
  • Utilize various inspection tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators) to accurately assess material characteristics.
  • Identify, quarantine, and document non-conforming materials, initiating Material Review Board (MRB) processes when necessary.
  • Record and maintain accurate inspection data, test results, and quality records in the designated quality management system or databases.
  • Communicate inspection results and potential quality issues to relevant departments, including Purchasing, Production, and Engineering, in a timely manner.

The Quality Control Incoming Inspector is responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections of incoming components according to engineering drawings or specifications, utilizing a variety of inspection tools and equipment, while keeping accurate inspection data.

This position reports to the Quality Control Supervisor and is part of Hardware Quality Control located in Chaska, MN and will be an on-site role.  

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Utilize various inspection tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators) to accurately assess material characteristics.
  • Identify, quarantine, and document non-conforming materials, initiating Material Review Board (MRB) processes when necessary.
  • Record and maintain accurate inspection data, test results, and quality records in the designated quality management system or databases.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in a technical field or relevant quality certification (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector) is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb, any other physical requirements

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Competent in using various precision measurement tools and equipment.

The hourly range for this role is $20-$23 per hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
