Quality Control Technician - Mechanical

What you'll do
- Conduct visual and mechanical inspections and quality checks on mechanical, composite, electronic and COTS components and subsystems, in accordance with established inspection plans and procedures.
- Perform dimensional and mechanical inspections using precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges and torque tools.
- Identify and report non-conformances (NCs), support root cause analysis activities, and contribute to corrective and preventive actions across production and supply chain operations.
- Review inspection results, maintain accurate quality records and update material status within ERP/MES systems, ensuring full traceability of inspected components.
- Ensure inspection tools and measurement equipment are properly maintained and calibrated in accordance with applicable quality requirements.
- Support quarantine and scrapping processes for non-conforming materials and ensure appropriate handling and segregation procedures are followed.
- Monitor production, inspection, logistics, storage and laboratory environments to ensure compliance with established safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Production, AIT Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to identify defects early, prevent quality escapes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Degree or technical diploma in Mechanics, Quality Control, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience in Quality Control or Inspection within aerospace, defense, high-reliability manufacturing, or a comparable technical production environment.
- Hands-on experience inspecting mechanical parts and using precision inspection and measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges and torque tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, tolerances, inspection plans and other manufacturing documentation.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes, measurement principles, dimensional inspection and calibration requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify, document and communicate technical deviations and non-conformances effectively.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
- Good command of spoken and written English
