About this role
POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Business Specialist – Busway, Americas supports the commercial execution, growth, and profitability of the Busway product lines across the Americas.
Reporting to the Director, Power Distribution – Americas, this role works closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Demand Planning, Application Engineering, and the Global Business Unit to support regional business priorities and customer opportunities.
The role provides visibility and analysis of pipeline, orders, sales, forecast, pricing, margins, and demand, while supporting pricing initiatives, capacity alignment, new product commercialization, and regional market intelligence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support product-line performance by tracking pipeline, orders, sales, forecast, margins, and demand.
- Support Sales with customer opportunities, quotations, pricing, competitive positioning, and business cases.
- Monitor pricing and profitability, including VCM, cost changes, VAVE, and cost-out initiatives.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Demand Planning to align customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and delivery requirements.
- Support major opportunity reviews, including pricing approvals, capacity validation, business cases, and follow-up actions.
- Partner with Application Engineering and Technical Proposal Engineering to support competitive and executable customer solutions.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, and emerging technologies.
- Collect and communicate Voice of Customer and regional requirements to support Global Business Unit product priorities.
- Support new product launches and commercialization, including pricing, sales enablement, documentation, and quoting readiness.
- Prepare product-line business reviews and coordinate actions addressing commercial, profitability, and execution risks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in product management, business operations, sales, engineering, or a related technical/commercial role.
- Experience with Switchgear, Switchboards, Busway/Busbar, or electrical distribution solutions preferred.
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of pricing, margins, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across Sales, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Product Management.
- Technical aptitude to understand customer applications and translate requirements into actionable business needs.
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, collaboration, and ability to drive actions to completion.
- Fluent written and verbal English required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, CRM/CPQ tools, and related business applications.
