What you'll do

  • Support the implementation and adherence to ORM policies, minimum control standards, and the overall ORM Framework for Regulatory, Trade & Holding Reporting risk management . This includes participating in controls oversight, risk assessments, RTC framework adherence.
  • Contribute to the definition, monitoring, and reporting of Regulatory, Trade & Holding Reporting Group Risk Appetite and related metrics. Facilitate execution of Group Structured scenario analyses and participate in the development of risk appetite metrics.
  • Support the risk reporting processes for Group and divisional operating forums related to Regulatory, Trade & Holding Reporting risk . This involves supporting the administration of the Group Regulatory Reporting Inventory, execution of the risk and control assessments and assisting with the development of risk-based processes.
  • Foster strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders, across all Business Divisions & Infrastructure Functions, and other ORM Clusters.
  • Provide analytical support and insights to the Heads of Regulatory, Trade & Holding Reporting risk to inform decisions regarding ORM Framework implementation, risk identification, and proposed key controls. Serve as a working-level point of contact for policy and audit-related matters concerning Regulatory, Trade & Holding Reporting risk .

  • An understanding of Operational Risk Management principles and practices.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing strong working relationships with stakeholders to facilitate successful risk management within the 3 Lines of Defence model.
  • Experience in working with Senior Stakeholders within a high-pressure dynamic environment including strong presentation skills.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office – MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word including Office Automation skills (e.g. VBA Macro, Power Automate).
  • Fluent in English, strong communication skills including ability to distil topics into understandable summaries with clear conclusions and explanations of rationale.
  • Strong time management skills when dealing with multiple priorities.
  • Exposure of global operating environments and international regulatory landscapes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

Location: Bangalore, India

Role Description

  • Operational Risk Management (ORM) sits within the Chief Risk Office (CRO) function, which has Group-wide responsibility for the management and control of all credit, market, operational, enterprise and liquidity risk and has the responsibility of continual development of methods for risk measurement, frameworks and creating a bank wide strong risk culture. 
  • The purpose of Operational Risk Management (ORM) is to ensure that the Bank's Non-Financial Risk exposure is adequately managed in line with the group-wide risk appetite and OR framework. As an AVP in the Regulatory, Trade & Holding Reporting risk management team, you will contribute to this mission by supporting the implementation and ongoing management of the ORM framework within this critical risk cluster.
  • This role involves active participation in monitoring, assessment, and reporting activities, collaborating closely with various internal stakeholders across all Business Divisions & Infrastructure Functions to reinforce the Bank's identification, mitigation and management of reporting risks.

Your key responsibilities
