Are you an experienced leader within Workers’ Compensation who is passionate about supporting injured workers and driving positive return-to-work outcomes? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Return to Work Team Manager (0 – 70 weeks) to lead a team of case managers supporting injured people recovery and return to work.
In this role, you will provide leadership, coaching and operational support while ensuring high-quality, timely and customer-focused outcomes for injured workers, employers and key stakeholders.
About the Role
As the Return to Work Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team while supporting the delivery of effective and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
You will work closely with internal teams, employers, healthcare providers and other stakeholders to ensure return-to-work strategies are practical, timely and aligned with legislative, regulatory and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach and develop a team of Return to Work Specialists
Drive team performance and support the achievement of operational and service delivery targets
Provide technical guidance and support on complex return-to-work matters
Monitor workloads, quality, performance and customer outcomes
Support team members through regular coaching, feedback and performance conversations
Build strong relationships with employers, injured workers, healthcare providers and internal stakeholders
Identify opportunities to improve processes, service delivery and return-to-work outcomes
Ensure compliance with relevant Workers’ Compensation legislation, policies and procedures
Manage escalations and support the resolution of complex or sensitive matters
Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Previous leadership or people management experience within Workers’ Compensation, injury management, rehabilitation or a related environment
Strong knowledge of return to work principles and injury management practices
Experience supporting complex claims or return-to-work matters
Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and motivate team members
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
A proactive and solutions-focused approach
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
A strong commitment to delivering positive outcomes for injured workers and employers
