What you'll do

  • Lead and oversee the project safety program, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a strong field presence and work closely with project management, supervision, subcontractors, and craft personnel to promote safe work practices.
  • Conduct jobsite safety inspections, audits, and observations to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor safety trends and ensure accidents, injuries, property damage, near misses, and other safety-related incidents are accurately documented and tracked.
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and develop and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and conduct site safety orientations, training, toolbox talks, and other safety meetings as required.
  • Ensure required safety permits, certifications, inspections, and documentation remain current and compliant with project requirements.
  • Provide technical safety guidance related to construction activities, equipment, work practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Daily Hazard Analyses (DHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and other site-specific safety documentation.
  • Partner with project teams to plan for high-risk construction activities and implement appropriate hazard controls before work begins.
  • Develop, review, and maintain site-specific safety, emergency response, and evacuation plans.
  • Support emergency response planning, including site access and emergency vehicle coordination.

  • EM 385-1-1 experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.

  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, equipment, and high-risk activities.
  • Proven ability to identify jobsite hazards and develop practical, compliant mitigation strategies.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with project leadership, field supervision, craft personnel, subcontractors, and clients.

Safety Worxs is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager in Ravensdale, Washington to support a construction project and provide hands-on safety leadership in the field. This position will oversee site safety programs, ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and project requirements, and partner closely with project leadership and field teams to maintain a strong safety culture.
