Search Engine Optimization Account Manager

About the Role: We are seeking an SEO & AI Search Account Manager to provide day-to-day account leadership and help drive SEO and AI Search strategies for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in organic search, strong client management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to turn strategy into action and measurable results.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned SEO & AI Search clients 
• Quickly gain an understanding of the client’s product market, goals, and growth opportunities 
• Translate technical SEO and AI-search concepts into clear business recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
• Develop strategies for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) alongside traditional SEO.
• Join sales meetings and lead SEO-specific business development efforts
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices, focusing on how these changes can be leveraged to drive material account improvements.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of hands-on SEO experience
• Strong understanding of technical, on-page, and content SEO fundamentals.
• Familiarity with AI-powered search, generative AI, GEO, AEO, and the changing search landscape. 
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify meaningful trends and patterns.
• Experience building AI workflows or lightweight automations for SEO tasks
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal  
• A curious mindset and eagerness to learn, test, and explore new approaches. 
• Comfortable working in dynamic, time-sensitive environment with numerous competing priorities
• Develop positive relationships focused on retaining clients and employees
• Ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans and recommendations to solve client challenges

Nice to haves: 

• Previous experience managing client accounts, preferably within an agency environment.
• Experience with Reddit, forums and third-party communities as part of an AI Search / GEO strategy. 
• Experience running backlink and digital PR campaigns
• Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and webdesign technologies
• Experience with conversion rate optimization strategy
