Pay: £31,650–£51,048 per annum / PAYE, dependent on experience and qualifications

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher to work with pupils across primary and early secondary age groups within a specialist setting in Sunderland.

This is an opportunity for a creative and adaptable teacher who enjoys finding different ways to engage pupils and make learning accessible.

The Role

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons
• Support pupils with a range of SEND
• Adapt resources and teaching strategies
• Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support where appropriate
• Develop communication and independence
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Assess and record pupil progress
• Work towards EHCP outcomes
• Build strong relationships with pupils
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other professionals

Previous SEND experience is desirable, but we are also happy to consider mainstream teachers with strong differentiation and behaviour-management experience who are interested in moving into specialist education.

QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification is required.
